Winning 15 games for 20 years...I’m afraid it is shelved right by pitching both complete games of a double header and hitting .400.

Thanks for posting, Noetsi. Interesting that he's faced three father-son combos -- the Delino Deshields, the Eric Youngs and Raul and Adalberto Mondesi. Plus soon to come the Vlad Guerreros.
Before the injuries kicked in, CC had a realistic chance to be the last 300 game winner. The 5 man rotation and the limits on IP have diminished the role of the starter. Soon enough 200 will be the new 300, if it isn't already.

I really do miss the vanishing concept of the game-winning starter. Whether or not it represents maximal efficiency in the position, I loved the year after year sturdy hurlers compiling their victories. I would rather see one guy go 24-9 than three guys go 8-3. Just my own potty little personal preference. It enhanced my pleasure in the game.

The Yanks will certainly miss the Big Man in the lockerroom, hopefully the Yanks send him out with a second World Series ring.

Gardner may join mattingly as a Yankee who played a long career with us and did not make it to the WS. Well hopefully we get there this year.

I thought he started playing in the majors after 2009
Now I won't feel sorry for him.
