These Diamond Backs can hit. They’ve played one more game than the Yanks, and have equaled our run output at 155 (6th in MLB). They go about it a bit differently than the Yanks, with a free-swinging attack that has produced more total bases and thirty more base hits while hitting for about the same team average. The Yanks walks mean we have a higher OBP, but the Backs have hot 29 more doubles than the Yanks, 6 more triples, though 5 fewer HR.
Greinke is a nasty hitter this year at 6 for 13 with 2 doubles, a triple, and two HR. His OPS is over 1.600. Somebody needs to calm that lad down...Take your meds, Zack!!!

When you say more than the Yankees you mean more than the Yankees with half their offensive power gone (at least half).

This may be the thinnest lineup yet. I'd almost rather lose these games and have time for DJLM and Urshela to heal. CC could probably hit fifth or sixth tonight with no loss of offense.
This gang has been inspiring, but we're really digging deep now.

This gang has been inspiring, but we're really digging deep now. Fortunately, the Diamond Backs pitching is only about middling. Greinke is still good but he’s starting to fade, I believe...

maybe we should try the methods suggested in Surrogates. Use robots for our players.

When you say more than the Yankees you mean more than the Yankees with half their offensive power gone (at least half). Of course. What other kind of Yankees is there?... 🥴

CC is cruising... nice start to the game... Imagine a few years ago when people were saying CC couldn’t make the transition from throwing hard to pitching...Had he not struggled with injuries for a few seasons... oh well. We’ll never know...
