Awful decision to send Voit there. That’s mystifying and not Voit’s fault.
Two bad baserunning blunders there - one didn’t cost us and one did.
On the error Gardner dogged it out of the box in a way that would have made people lose their minds if it were Sanchez who had hit it otherwise he scores on that error. Scored anyway and he’s gutty Brett Gardner so it will be forgotten.
Then that ridiculous decision to send Voit there ends the inning instead of having the bases loaded.
Not a good start to the series.

Time for the second eruption of Mike Ford tonight. You read about the first one here before it happened, and now I’m doubling down on him... He didn’t make a you look good on that AB. That was the kind of AB that says “I don’t belong in the majors” |
