Kaybli, since I’ve forgotten which thread the trivia question was in... and have tired of looking for it...
What do you think the group of players have in common?...

Happ just can't keep the ball in the ballpark this year.

Happ just can't keep the ball in the ballpark this year. Like Green, he’s much more effective when he pitches inside.

Happ just can't keep the ball in the ballpark this year. Not a good park to pitch him in...

It would be nice if Happ at least gave the Yanks a chance.

It would be nice if Happ at least gave the Yanks a chance. He’s held them to 2 safeties so far... no FG, no TDs... it could be worse...

Happ just can't keep the ball in the ballpark this year. Not a good park to pitch him in... If you never throw inside, batters can eliminate half of the plate and extend their arms. Take a look at where those home run pitches are; they’re outside. Batters are way too comfortable against him. If you’re a fly ball pitcher, you better throw in, out, up, down and change speeds.

I’ve thought for a while by the way, that it would be a cool experiment for the NFL to give 4 points for field goals of over 60 yards...

To me, that is part of the basic art of pitching for all pitchers...

Joey Rickard has a reputation as a very good fielder. It seems that I must have seen every screwed up play he’s ever been involved in, or he’s over rated...

Kaybli, since I’ve forgotten which thread the trivia question was in... and have tired of looking for it... What do you think the group of players have in common?... The players with the most plate appearances without hitting a triple.

To me, that is part of the basic art of pitching for all pitchers... Except, he’s not throwing inside. One of the only inside pitches he did throw resulted in a double play. One of the homers tonight was so outside that it was well off the plate. That’s how little batters are protecting the inside part of the plate.
