Wow, Urshela blows it. Didn't see that coming. I thought it was a incredibly bad hop...I would have walked Merrifield or pitched Ottavino. I don’t like Holder in do or die situations.

You still got to at least knock it down. Prevent the run from scoring. I would have walked Merrifield too. I would have started the inning with Ottavino.

Yankee defense has been less than awesome - and letting the runner steal second although probably inevitable did not help. The worse moment, which ended up not matter was Frazier dropping the ball in RF.
Sanchez is the type of player I don't like (although Yankee brass are high on this). Swing at anything. Sometimes that gets you home runs. He swung at ball four earlier in the game that probably would have been the winning run.

The real challenge will come, the real sense of how good we are when we finally start playing decent teams.

Went to mountains today, and just relaxed. Looked at the little cabin and we could see it needs much more work than we expected, so we’ll leave that one alone and stay here with the weeds, hot sun, bullsnakes, etc...It was fun looking though...And the lake was gorgeous... Sky so blue and clouds so white and fluffy...

Still little specs of snow on the ground where we went, and a nice close up view of the 13,000’ nearby Greenhorn Mountain that still has a generous snow cap on it...Did a bit of wildlife watching, saw a Bald Eagle at the lake and a bunch of deer in various places... Bummed that the Yankees lost, sounds like they made several mistakes in the game, not to mention that BaBoone seemingly stayed with German too long on a day when he was struggling and stupidly went to Holder at a point in the game when it was do or die time...

Yea typical Boone. He has no feel for the game.

I think he simply does not want to make changes. The reverse of our previous manager who made too many.

Look regardless the game was tied with a chance in the 9th and 10th to take the lead so while yes I agree he left him in too long but the team almost stole it.

Yea, he was definitely trying to save the bullpen which I can understand. But it was obvious German did not have it today. We still almost managed to come away with the win.

The manager thinks pretty much everyone in his own is fungible and Holder is as good as Britton or Ottavino. The manager is wrong.
