Thanks for the word, Kaybli. Tulo is threatening Ellsbury's earlier seeming lock on this year's Nick Johnson Poor Attendance Award. Ellsbury has definitely skipped a semester or eight.

This should be a great opportunity for German to right the ship. The Indians not only feature a weak line up, as the starting line up usually includes 5 hitters batting under .230, but they only get consistent offense out of a couple of hitters in the line up now that Hose Ramirez has gone into a deep and mysterious slump that has seen him hit a rather ridiculous .170 vs. RHP with a minuscule .544 OPS against. There is little pop from the left side for German to contend with...German seems to simply lose it at times recently, but despite his recent struggles he’s still got a 122+ ERA. He still throws a 94+ MPH average FB that can sneak up to 96-97, and isn’t afraid to throw his slow, big breaking FB for strikes...One theory I have is that maybe he’s throwing too many strikes and should be using his reputation for control to tempt batters to swing at pitches a bit out of the zone... Good scouting report inger! I hear Lindor is hot and Ramirez has been ice cold so far this season.

"but despite his recent struggles he’s still got a 122+ ERA" pretty rough to have an ERA past 122

Good scouting report inger! I hear Lindor is hot and Ramirez has been ice cold so far this season. The always dour-faced Ramirez (looks like he pooped his pants all the time) should look even angrier this year, since he’s barely above .200 and has only hit 4 HR. Kindle has looked good, and 33 year old Carlos Santana (seems like he should be about 50) has been consistent. I forget the catchers name off the top of my head, but while he’s one of the sub-.230 hitters featured, he does add a third hitter with double figure HR... Is Cleveland a second place team, or a .500 team? Why, both... in second place at 31-31...

That is more than 13 runs an inning...but it is possible. You are just up from the minors come in with the bases loaded give up a grand slam, get an out, give up a home run then get abducted by aliens and you have an ERA of 135 which is 122 plus.
If you pitch to a batter give up a home run and never pitch again I think your ERA would be undefined since the numerator is zero.

I will watch the game. Whether my internet works from home tonight is questionable.
I would really like to win tonight. Tampa too close for my taste.

Rays vs. Red Sox tonight. Who to root for? Just hope neither on sweeps the other and the games take lots of extra innings and tons of pitches, maybe even a rain delay or two to torture the souls of members of both teams. In other words, lots of fun...

Eric Byrnes is a wild looking critter these days. I get to watch on mlb.com tonight... Always an adventure figuring out what channel to go to...Looking at the bright side, I get alternative points of view...

It’s a thing they came up with back in the early fifties, I believe... It was invented in the pre-WWII era. The war delayed its commercial use.
I meant I would watch the game but not come here because I would not have internet access.

Oh, now I get it. Where do you live man? In a cave? The forest? Deep in the desert? Behind a mountain high? A deserted island?...
