We have to get Morales going! We just HAVE to! If he gets going he’ll be going, you see. Then we can give him a day off...

How nice to see Didi's name back in the lineup. He even bumped The Yankee Clinker Kendrys Morales down to the six hole in the batting order. Ever so slowly we are pushing him to the fringes.

Zach (with an “H”, son of Dan) Plesac throws his four seamer between 92-96 MPH with excellent movement. When he has command of it he can own the day with that pitch alone. He doesn’t always command it. His slider has tilt and bite, but doesn’t get a lot of swing and misses. His change is a work in progress that most hitters will recognize because though his arm speed is good, he looks uncomfortable throwing it.
It’s all about that fastball for the most part today. If it’s not in the stike zone or is finding the middle of the plate we’ll rough him up. If it’s being commanded, he’ll be able to mix in the slider to add another flavor and get some weak contact...Good luck to him if he feels he needs to throw more than a handful of changeups...

Even if Morales does get on a run, he’s just so slow and non-athletic that he’s just going to be a one trick pony...He’d have trouble clearing 3B for a triple by anyone batting behind him except for Sanchez and maybe Romine... When draws a walk, he trots to first base. When he hits a clean single, he trots to first base. When he hits the ball off the CF wall he trots to first base. He’s a trotter, he’s not going to win the Derby...

Why not get rid of Morales and play Didi, Voit, LeMahieu , and Torres, one at 2b.
I don't get the point at all of playing as DH someone batting .205 and with little power.
Maybe the goal is to have the worse DH in the league.

Did his Dad Dan pitch for NC State? If so, he pitched against us in an ACC tourny game one year and if not for a mishandled pop-up to deep second/short right by us, I think that game might still be going on.

With Didi back on the 40-man roster, did someone get moved to the 60-day IL retroactively? They could choose from Tulo, Stanton or Judge at this point.

This should be a great opportunity for German to right the ship. The Indians not only feature a weak line up, as the starting line up usually includes 5 hitters batting under .230, but they only get consistent offense out of a couple of hitters in the line up now that Hose Ramirez has gone into a deep and mysterious slump that has seen him hit a rather ridiculous .170 vs. RHP with a minuscule .544 OPS against.
There is little pop from the left side for German to contend with...German seems to simply lose it at times recently, but despite his recent struggles he’s still got a 122+ ERA. He still throws a 94+ MPH average FB that can sneak up to 96-97, and isn’t afraid to throw his slow, big breaking FB for strikes...One theory I have is that maybe he’s throwing too many strikes and should be using his reputation for control to tempt batters to swing at pitches a bit out of the zone...

Good choice, since he’ll eventually join Ellsbury on the 600 day disabled list any way...Admite the comeback he made, and the work he put into it... but reality bites...

Thanks for the word, Kaybli. Tulo is threatening Ellsbury's earlier seeming lock on this year's Nick Johnson Poor Attendance Award.
