I thought that the grammar rule was X, X2 (meaning another player so Stanton was not the player who was leading in home runs). That is why I put a comma where I did. I struggle badly with spelling so I try not to spell certain players names. I think giving me a hard time every other day sometimes might be useful. It gets painful sometimes. I’m confused. And I haven’t even taken my ambien yet... Maybe you could call me and talk about some obscure table, or sing “Soft Kitty” to me so I can rest...

I see what you meant now. You said "And now we will add the AL home run leader (as in Encarnacion), Stanton and maybe Judge." I'll try not to give you such a hard time. It's all in good fun anyway. I'm not trying to be mean. God damn it, I am... (: Nah. All in fun. Noetsi is getting better at zinging back, and I like that. I feel like he’s growing and getting stronger...

I know no one is trying to be rough and I make plenty of mistakes. I have been struggling with a problem that got worse again (it is why I missed being here last year). I should fit it perfectly with the Yankee pitching staff (meaning their injury issues). Obviously pitching is our problem. Although our defense is erratic and to my eye our running the bases although I know of know way to compare the Yankees to other teams. I only watch Yankee games. 4 more pitches feeling sorry for myself and I can hit 1,000. We need a violin smiley...

lol I would delete my "feel sorry for noetsi" post but its been quoted too often to do that. So more usefully do they have a reasonable chance to get a pitcher or will we struggle all year... Waiting for Sori is doubtful to me. I am not convinced he is a great play off pitcher although small sample size may apply. To me he seems not focused enough.

If you're going through some issues there's nothing to be sorry or embarrassed about. I'm just sorry I can't be of more help.
Anyway, since it feels like you want to move on from that, yes I think they have a good chance to get a pitcher by the trade deadline. Stroman, Boyd, Bumgarner, Bauer, Minor seem to be some options among others.
Sori? You mean Sevy? Yea, he's going to be a question mark coming back from injury. Still, if he can regain something close to his form he will be an asset.

Oh and congrats on 1,000 posts noetsi! Though short of your 80,000 posts on scout, you're officially a Ruthian Legend on here now!

I have a long tradition going back decades to giving players nicknames on threads. I use sori for Severino for some reason. Probably my worse ever was calling nick johnson, slow white boy which wasn't true and annoyed the (then rare) poster on the game threads). I avoid calling Romine lettucehead with some difficulty...
I think Bumgarner would break the salary cap for us so it won't happen.

I think I had at one point over 100k posts on that board but most were actually on the political science board at fanhome not baseball. I was the administrator of that board for a long time (actually several related boards).

I remember Broken Nose for Posada. yeah not sure why I used that. But I had a name for everyone. He broke his nose once back in 2006 playing catch:
New York Yankees catcher Jorge Posada broke his nose Wednesday when he was hit in the face by a ball while playing catch.
Posada was scratched from the starting lineup for Wednesday night's game against Boston, and X-rays revealed a nasal fracture. Posada was to remain in the hospital overnight and was expected to be released Thursday morning.
Yankees manager Joe Torre said Posada had minor swelling above his left eye and was bleeding from the nose but his eye socket was fine.
"It's probably going to be about five days [before he can play]," Torre said. "He can work out."
Posada was playing catch with backup catcher Kelly Stinnett when he was hit by the ball.

Well I was not entirely crazy then.... ""We're talking Edwin Encarnacion," Boone said before New York salvaged a split of a four-game series in Chicago with a 10-3 rout over the White Sox. "When you get a guy of his caliber, that's something we're excited about. He's obviously a great hitter, he has been for a long time and continues to be."" As compared to say Robert or Carlos Encarnacion I guess... Does Boone think the first name really matters? How many Encarnacion's play in the majors "Encarnacion's addition and Giancarlo Stanton's anticipated return from the injured list Tuesday impacted Clint Frazier, who was optioned to Triple-A Sunday. It will also impact playing time for Brett Gardner, who drove in four runs Sunday. "Any time you can add somebody as good as Edwin, he's a guy who's going to make us better so we look forward to getting him on board," Gardner said. "How that affects me, that's not something I'm worried about." that is impressive to say, but then Gardner knows he will still be on the team and has been for more than a decade. So its not quite the impact as on Frazier. It can be a rough business. The Rays are paying part of "the guy I can't spell" 'salary which has to be really annoying. 11 of the next 28 games we play will be against Tampa I think. That should bring Boston into the picture. sports.yahoo.com/encarnacion-expected-yankees-lineup-vs-rays-045153371--mlb.html
