We’ll miss Gardner more than we can imagine when he’s gone... He’s been a solid ball player for a long time. Gives great effort. I have to assume this is it for him unless he is willing to come back on a significantly reduced 1 year deal. |

I would assume Paxton’s day is over after six, but he gave the team what they needed today. A solid if unspectacular start to counter balance a crappy performance by the opposing pitcher... Nice lead for the bullpen. Boone will surely make us scratch our heads when he pulls someone illogical out to start the 7th...

I wonder if he’d go somewhere else or just retire if he doesn’t get what he wants...He’s made a pretty decent pile of money. That’s the thing these days. The money is so good that if you handle it wisely it’s more than you or the kids will ever need... |

We’ll miss Gardner more than we can imagine when he’s gone... I’ll miss his defense, scoring from second on almost anything, toughness, and patience at the plate. I won’t miss his disappearing act in August and September or his mental block for stealing a base on left-handed pitchers. |
