No empathy for Machado. A 300 million dollar contract for a hot-headed rube with a .336 lifetime OBP. At least, Arod’s numbers were ridiculously good when he received his windfall, and he was a better defensive shortstop. Thank you Yankees for not signing that guy.

They are exactly who I had in mind. How bout good ol' C.B. Bucknor? Him too. Just haven't seen him as much this year, so he was out of sight out of mind. The umps you can't remember are the best. And there are plenty of good ones. It's a tough job to do well. |
