Brad Peacock has spent his career with Houston as a valuable spare part that has shuttled between starting and the bullpen. He started out as a four pitch pitcher with a fast ball that would touch 95 as a starter and 97 in the pen. At that time he had a nasty curve, a slider that hung way too often and a very hittable change.
Latest reports are that once he gained better command of his slider, he abandoned the curve in favor the slider. He also never got the grasp of a change up, which leaves him as a two pitch pitcher. His fastball as a starter now ranges between 90-95. He struggles at times to keep the ball on a downhill plane, but complements it well with the slider. Both pitches have excellent swing and miss capabilities, and Peacock has posted top-tier strike out numbers. The issue that he struggles with is that he has nothing to offer the second time through the order without a third pitch. He seldom lasts past 5-6 innings, and his limit this season has been about 85-90 pitches.
If the Yankee hitters are patient with Peacock and get his pitch count up, he can easily be out of the game early. Most of his starts this season have been vs. weaker opponents. He has had a very good start and a poor one vs. Oakland, a poor one vs. Minnesota, and a six inning shutout start vs. Boston...

It's like Christmas getting Aaron Judge back. Can't wait to see him out there.

Reminds me of the scene in The Jerk where he says the first day was so great, it was like two days. And the third day was like three days. But the third day you went to your mothers, so that was just a day.

Today should be the day the Yanks unveil their fully stacked lineup. Instead watch Boonie give a few guys a rest so we get Romine Tauchman etc

And this remote control...That was a funny movie.
