Maybin is listed as a bench player, so maybe his injury is not serious?

Maybin is listed as a bench player, so maybe his injury is not serious? I thought he heard a pop and was going on the IL for "awhile" according to Boone?

I joked that this could happen in last night’s game thread... Gleyber is only 22, how many days off does he need? Not meaning to insult anyone hear of recent vintage, but in the “real world” I find so many folks about 35 years old and younger tend to have 30 hour work weeks (hourly pay) and don’t take a second job, preferring the time off. They also often refuse OT when offered. Maybe Gleyber does “need” time off. For the most part our needs are determined by our desires...and fueled by our environment...

This isn’t a Gleyber thing, it is a Boone thing. He chooses to manage this way.

For the most part our needs are determined by our desires...and fueled by our environment... yes, there is a difference in the younger generation....and I'm not sure if they don't have it right, by taking more off time and family time...anyway, it's different than when my generation came along, when most guys took as much overtime as they could.... my youngest grand daughter's husband is a case in point, and one that would have been unthinkable in say 1940 or 1950......Brian is about 30 yrs old...has a college degree in marketing....husband and father of a 2 yr old boy....lives in Seattle in a rental...in October 2018 he left his job for a years sabbatical...….how they got by I don't know, but they used all the helps available, and it appears he will probably be able to make it through the year...... I don't understand that attitude, which makes me an old fogey or worse, of course...……...but, it is their life, and I would not say anything to him about it...... Brian is such a good guy...good husband and father....I hope that year is it for sabbaticals...

I doubt there are going to be too many folks on their death bed saying, “I wish I had spent more time at work and less time with my family”. Yes, I do believe perhaps this new generation may have the right idea.
They saw their parents work all the time to own a big house with a swimming pool and two shiny cars in the garage. Dad had a heart attack two years after mom left him to go find herself. Luckily the last of the children had finally moved out by then.
So, they’ll be happy to work less. They inherited the house after dad died, so they have a place to live. It’s got a pool. The car’s in pretty good shape, so why waste time polishing it? Go to the beach and relax when the boss sends you home at 2:00 PM. There’s really nothing wrong with that, is there?...

This isn’t a Gleyber thing, it is a Boone thing. He chooses to manage this way. And with all this depth, we're going to see this the rest of the season.
