Encarnacion hits a rope, just right to the left fielder.

If first place is dire, what would you call Baltimore? Objectivity need not be abandoned. I don't consider baltimore a major league team. I compare the Yankees to other play off teams not to one of the worse teams in ML history. I bet you’re a peach on a long road trip.

Cessa's ERA is not at 5.67. Does he really belong on this team?

Nope...only a .696 winning percentage...dire situation. Of course, we may have to check if these are actually real NLB teams (Noetsi Baseball League).

I was talking about a pitcher not the Yankees as a whole. I was suggesting by play off capable team standards Hap is awful.

This should be the kind you like. You get to wallow in misery over one stupid game of which even the greatest teams will have some in the course of a season. I'll take eight out of nine against Tampa Bay and Houston anytime. Plus future Yankee Marcus Stroman threw six shutout innings against Boston, which was losing 5-0 in the seventh. Most likely Boston will remain nine games in the loss column behind the Yankees. For sure we need another starter. But this isn't wrist-slitting time.

We get back to back hits in the 5th (the only thing that I am paying attention to is if we keep the HR streak going).

Gardy with a single! Both took the ball to the opposite field.
