I don't understand what Boone sees in Hicks who is batting 3rd. He has a .202 BA last of those who will start (probably last on the team). He has a .302 OBP which is second worse to didi (small sample size applies there although didi does not walk a lot).
Speaking of small sample size Stanton has a .438 OBP but a slugging percent of .320 Hicks sample size is also still quite small. Boone realizes that he is still getting his timing back and is likely to engage in a hot streak soon. I’m not overly concerned about where he’s batting tonight... Glyber Torres sample size is quite large and he is batting 7th with a lot more upside than Hicks. Why not have Hicks bat 7th and Glyber 3rd.

I won't get to watch the game, working Why so much night work, Russ? OT, or just your shift?... My shift is 24-7 as long as I work enough hours. For a variety of reasons I have not this month.

I got some of those Biscoff Lotus cookies like you get on airplanes. Just had a couple. They’re pretty good, but I think they taste better on the airplanes. I suppose it’s because it’s all your going to get...Those air execs know how to get in our heads, don’t they?...

I don’t know that we really know Gleyber has more upside than Hicks. I would have to see evidence... You could compare their OBP If you do that you’ll find that Hicks has a much greater lifetime OBP, which is far more indicative of his talent level than the abbreviated numbers he’s achieved this season...

now hicks strikes out looking. They must have a different strike zone than the umpire.

If you think lifetime OBP is pertinent to a given year. I have had this discussion with Mitch before. I don't in all situations and one of those is when a player has recently been injured.
