I wonder what the logic is for jumbling the lineup, primarily moving Torres to 5th after all this time batting 8th. Perhaps if I get around to checking individual matchups the answer may jump out at me.
Vargas has quite balanced splits...

Welcome back, Domingo! Let’s hope we see the Domingo we had for the first couple of months and not the one who was getting crushed the last few starts before the IL

According to stats on Fox.com, Encarnacion 8-32, and Maybin 4-6 have each taken Vargas deep twice. Hicks has been 4-11 with 1HR, Gardner 3-10, Urshela 2-2 against him. No other Yankee had any kind of positive numbers against him. Torres name did not appear on the list, so I assume he’s never batted against Vargas...

Vargas is an easy guy to root against after his candy ass fake bravado against a reporter last week. Let’s hope the Yanks knock him around and maybe he tears his labrum along the way.

With the exception of his first pitch, German has looked good through two innings.

I think Urshela is better defensively than Brosius....who was Urshela's equal...Nettles? It's amazing how strong and accurate is arm is on those slow rollers down the line.

It's amazing how strong and accurate is arm is on those slow rollers down the line. he makes some plays that I'm not sure have been made before for the Yankees....I really think he is better than Boyer or Nettles, who are the best Yankee 3B I have seen....just in my opinion, of course...
