This is the date that we remember the founding of this wonderful country....I am a direct descendant of emigrants...my mother from Sweden, and my father from Moravia in what is now the Czech Republic....my life has been so richly blessed by being born here...yes, our society has flaws...may those flaws be mended, indeed....Happy Birthday to America...

Ruthie’s plastic surgeon for her breast reduction is a hand specialist. We saw him the day before yesterday. He reminds all his patients about how dangerous fireworks are.
I hope he has a very peaceful and boring evening this evening, but I have a feeling that he’ll be working, and on multiple patients...
I met a couple that sets off fireworks, traveling to sporting arenas, etc.. I noticed that the lady only has one thumb and one index finger. Even the experts have accidents. Let others set off the fireworks, guys. It’s not worth the risk. And, it surely doesn’t make your 4th of July fun for anyone when an accident happens...

Going to the parade here later this afternoon. My boy will be in the parade and my younger son will hang with me. It is always a privilege to see the older veterans who fought for our country. This is the place that welcomed our family from persecution and fascism that would have preferred to wipe us out. Grateful doesn’t begin to describe it. Happy 4th everyone.
