So let it be said, so let it be written: Tequila & I just put $$$ on that the Yankees sign Otani for 2018. "No Tequila I said Otani, not Nunez...however Nunez would be a great DH/Bench/Utility Player.

NEWS ALERT: Tequila & I NOW predict that the Yanks WILL NOT sign Stanton, but like mentioned in previous post, we will sign Otani/Ohtani; therefore no need for CC plus with Otani/Ohtani, we could go to a rotating DH of current players with Otani/Ohtani spending a considerable amount of time at DH.
Signing him is like a TWO-FOR-ONE Deal.
WE would love to see Otani/Ohtani Pitch & DH in the same game. FANS WOULD LOVE IT!!!
More good news: With him we could call up another Prospect and/or protect another Prospect on the 40-Player Roster = TWO-FOR-ONE.

1. Yankees will not sign Stanton, you're correct. NO team will.. he's not a free agent.. he must be traded for... 2. Ohtani will NOT pitch and DH in the same game. You can't have the same player at two positions. As far as him hitting in a game in which he pitches, NO... that's not the plan. The plan would be for him to DH 2-3 days a week, on days he DOESN'T pitch... and probably not the day before or after he pitches.

If he's pitching, why not let him bat in the game? I could see that he may not bat for himself in every start...maybe a match up issue...but I would prefer to see him fully involved on the days he pitches more often than not...

Because you lose the DH if he hits when he pitches... so if he gets bombed and you have to take him out in the 3rd inning , you're an NL lineup vs an AL lineup

You have to have a positive outlook. Hell, if he's getting bombed, then let somebody else sign that slacker...
