YANKEE PREDICTIONS FOR NEAR FUTURE:
Tequila & I were correct (once again), that our Yankees would NOT reach or win the 2017 WS (we actually won $$$ on this prediction –do not get mad at us, we just looked at the facts = an apple is an apple no matter how you spin it).
They got close, but close counts only in Hand Grenades, Dancing & Three-Ways.
Yet, the Yankees surprise us by jumping ahead quicker than we figured in rebuilding our Dynasty ( and they did it with the Youth).
The Yankees might go to the WS in 2018, but they have to hold themselves true to form = FOCUS ON THE YOUTH.
Tequila & I have a plan that would guarantee (well, well, well…) that the Yankees over the next 6-years (2018 to 2024):
Will win three America East Titles (Play-offs); make two WS appearances & two once again rebuilding years (one must always be rebuilding when planning for the near term future). AND to do so under $180 Million/Year.
HERE IS PART ONE:
TRADE THE FOLLOWING PLAYERS:
1. Gardner (getting into/close to the Retread Years)—get something for him now (Prospects, while the getting is good).
2. Ellsbury (talking about a WOFTAM = Waste of F..king Time And Money—get anything we can in return—eat $$$ if we have too.).
3. Headley (other teams will bid on him and we should be able to get at least one good Prospect for him).
4. Hicks (he is blocking Prospects & we could do better…much better).
FREE AGENT SIGNINGS:
1. We are not big fans of CC at this point in his career…however, if we could get him on a 1-2 year (max) REASONABLE contract = Do it. But, minus the ‘No Trade Clause’. Keep in mind CC is clearly expendable!!!
2. Frazier at 3B. Great attitude and a clubhouse leader, but only resign him for 1-year; if not, let him go and good luck to him.
3. Sign Juan Nicasio, to a 1-2-year contract (max) to beef up the BP as one of our long-men.
4. Re-sign Pineda.
5. Do not resign Holliday (we could do far better)
6. Go after Sohei Otani if we know that he is as good as the rumors state that he is
7. Do not resign Garcia
TRADES:
1. My friends in Miami tell me that in regards to Stanton, they are more interested in a COMPLETE salary dump than number of prospects received back. If this is true…
2. Look into trading for Stanton and use him as DH…imagine, a line-up with Stanton, Judge, Sanchez, Bird Didi, etc. If Jeter and company ask too much in Prospects just walk away from deal.
STARTING PITCHERS:
Tanka
Gray
Severino
CC or Chance Adams
Montgomery
Pineda (if healthy & if we go with a 6-man rotation?)
Not a bad pitchers’ line-up, but not great…wait for more Prospects to arrive soon.
CATCHERS:
Sanchez
Romine
During the off-season, Sanchez, needs to be coached to practice stopping wild pitches. If necessary, the Yanks, should hire him a personal coach.
MANAGER & COACHES:
1. Hire a manager, that has a successful record of accomplishments of working with the YOUTH.
2. Hire a base stealing coach (very much needed)
3. Hire Ichiro Suzuki, as our stretching coach. Ichiro has one of the most intense workout schedules in baseball, with the majority of the activity focused on stretching. He is 44-years old. Stretching is so much better for players than lifting weights –you can do both, but the majority of exercises should be focused on stretching = longer successful baseball lifespan & less injuries.
4. Hire MO as a coach to teach all of our pitchers how to throw a ‘CUTTER’.
5. MOST IMPORTANT: Hire a batting coach that can teach ALL of our players (including pitchers) how to successfully bunt & HIT TO THE OPPOSING FIELD when the shift is on OR when it is not.
PART TWO will follow, once I get more Peyote (it opens the mind up to all types of possibilities)
The word ‘IMPOSSIBLE’: Is actually not a word, but instead the Definition for the Word EXCUSE.
If you say to a group trying to make a decision, “That is IMPOSSIBLE”…the entire group states, “Well let’s move on; you heard Fred state this project is impossible.”
The word Impossible, is sweet music to a Bureaucrat’s and/or Old Thinker’s ears.
For NO decision needs to be made, so therefore no one can get into trouble for making the wrong decision.
And, the best part is…nothing needs to change, so no one has to change habits, make sacrifices or adapt to change.
In our world (Tequila’s and mine), EVERYTHING is possible, just like this plan is possible.
Please try to be nice in your comments in regards to the above plan = for Tequila worked really hard on it.
