Here’s something odd. Voit’s slash and other info for his last 14 games... .352/.444/.463. He’s gone 19 for 54. Six doubles, no triples (duh), no HR. He’s sure not been cold... That is weird. He hit his 14th homer on May 29. And none since June 14. Otherwise, he’s raking. He doesn’t seem to go on home run binges for the most part. He usually just keeps chipping one in every few days...I’d like to see catch fire with the bombs, but the way he’s hitting... What the heck. He’ll get his when he gets around to it... |

At least we made Castillo throw a lot of pitches. From the look of him, I'm guessing he gets an early start on the post-game buffet.

Adjusting to a nasty slider when you must look for a 100 mph fastball is the difference between big leaguers and mere mortals. |
