when we look back it may be that getting out of the first inning scoreless, and Nestor holding the fort with only one run through 5 is huge..

I guess this is the second game thread. There's really no way to be sure.

[img alt=" " class="smile" style="max-width:100%;" src="//storage.proboards.com/6828121/images/udcwFqPimnXDtjoTmoVL.gif"] Savages. Tighten this shit right up. I have never enjoyed Aaron Boone as much as I did in that moment.

I'm not even sure exactly what all of it meant, but I liked the fire-breathing invective. It changed, to some degree, my view of him.

I have never enjoyed Aaron Boone as much as I did in that moment. If he can give us a few more of these, I might even start to like him. He can’t reuse savages now though... he’ll have to be careful. I don’t think conquistadors would work, for example. Or murderers. Killers would be alright. Maybe even Jack the Rippers, but certainly not Sirhan Sirhans. Generic assassins would be okay. Any idea where he pulled savages out his ass? Or how that should matter or relate to how an umpire does his job?... Isn’t it sort of funny the things we sometimes say when we’re really pissed off, and don’t take time to measure our words?...

The three inning shutout start by the then 59 (or so) year old Satchel Paige...Perhaps the greatest example of a publicity stunt gone right... Ol' Satch helped the Indians in '48...really too bad most people were not able to see him in his prime....I have a feeling, if society had been different, Satchel would be a pitching gold standard... My grandfather said the best pitcher he ever saw was Satchel Paige. Saw him in an exhibition game in his prime.
