Voit I'm guessing was a precautionary pull but what about judge ? Boone thought the game was over after 5 innings. Hindsight is always easier, but I don’t ever recall a starting fielder pulled so early because of the score... Boone is sometimes infatuated with the idea of rest for players. I wonder how much rest he felt he needed when he played?...

Just missed a two run homer. Get him out. Determined to get 6 innings out of Tanaka...

Torres got lucky there, probably should have thrown it to 1B. If Desmond hadn’t trimmed his toenails he’d have been safe...

Finally. Tanaka threw 47 pitches through five, and then 38 in the sixth.

Earlier in the game the broadcasters were saying that with a ten run lead, the Yankees had a 100 percent victory record, but only 99.7 when the lead was nine runs.
So the odds are still pretty good.

I took a peek at Torres fielding stats this season. The sample at 2B is still a bit small, but his fielding pct. of .956 lags well behind the AL average of .980 for the position. His range factor of 4.24 does look good in comparison to the league’s 4.01.
He played SS earlier this year with a fielding pct. of .961, much closer to the norm of .969. His range factor at the position was just a tiny bit below average...
9 errors at SS, and 5 at 2B this far for a total of 14. He’s still young with a chance of improving. I see him as making much better decisions this season overall and he was surprisingly steady at SS this season after looking very rushed a panicky there in 2018 in his limited play there...

Nice breakdown, it does seem a lot of Torres's errors are those lack of concentration types that hopefully he grows out of as he matures.
