Except that we have no back up catcher I am not sure he or we will lose if the IL is not too long. He has been struggling for a while. Maybe he will regroup. But we have no off days any time soon, not sure who will be the new catcher .

Wow wish I didnt fall asleep for this one.
Not a great sign for German...though just one bad start against top offense in AL so wont overreact

I was pleasantly surprised to see that they won in extras, have you ever seen a game against two good teams where so many pitchers from both sides struggled. Maybe some of those old Yankee/Red Sox marathons?

The 8th through 10th innings were like a second, separate game. That was one of the most roller coaster type games I've ever seen, all kinds of mixed emotions.

Maybe some of those old Yankee/Red Sox marathons? There was a Yankees Red Sox game maybe 10 years ago that went back and forth and the red Sox walked in the winning run. Obviously it was at yankee stadium don't remember when. Edit : found it little longer ago than I thought : www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/NYA/NYA200207210.shtmlRed Sox loaded the bases on purpose cause of the runner on and no outs then walked in Posada. Yankees had a 4-0 lead and lost it a couple times. Wasn't a lot of pitchers used but weaver basically just kept giving up the runs.

You can't say enough about that catch! Incredible! Phenomenal! Stupendous! Extraordinary! Magnificent! Spectacular! Miraculous! Sublime! It was pretty good, too!... It’s not often that a player goes 5 for 5 and drives on 7 runs and gets scant support for being the MVP of the game. Hicks late game heroics definitely upstaged Didi’s both sides of the ball full game performance. Of course, Hicks never gets the chance to get the game winning hit and game saving catch if Didi doesn’t set the stage by keeping the team in the game..,

WOW, what a game.
What I learned:
--At least three times in prior Posts I predicted the Yankees going to the WS (not winning the WS); but have stated that the Twins or the Astro's could very easily BUMP the Yankees from the going to the WS. Still feel the same...
--Cash should look at his BP and maybe ADD another Relief Pitcher.
--It is NOT going to easy in the Play-Offs

Chapman and our starting pitchers have become a problem, our defense is good, the relievers generally (if not last night where they gave up multiple leads). Our offense is stellar.
