Six straight games Boston has scored at least eight runs against the Yankees. That is flat out embarrassing. At point do the Yankees make a change at pitching coach. Rothschild has had a nice career but maybe the pitchers need a new voice? Wish I understood what the issue is here, Chi. The Yankees pitching overall for the year has been decent, although far from brilliant. I know this is just a blip, but the blip is starting to hang around a little too long.

Anyone still agree with the decision on Dallas Keuchel? I still think this is a better rotation with six men, as it is currently comprised.

The first inning has been a disaster all year which means the pitchers aren't prepared. Starting pitchers rarely get better under him but do improve once they leave the team. The lack of game plan against certain hitters that other team use, the lack of adjustments during games and this all off the top of my head. I just don't think he's that good.

Anything is better than this mess. He’s got a 3.50 ERA and has pitched into the sixth inning in 6 of his 7 starts (his first outing of the year he went 5 innings). And, all to save 1.7 million. I hope everyone is enjoying the strict adherence to the business model...that is why we watch, right?

It won't get much play, because of the bad pitching, but the offense has come up small in this series too with RISP. It's just been a bad three days.

Anything is better than this mess. I admit I was in a take it or leave it with Keuchel, but his 3.50 ERA is more than half a run better than the Yankees lowest starter ERA, which is German's 4.02. I know, different league, but he's still so far looked better than anything we are putting out there. I also noticed that the much-denigrated Lance Lynn has thrown at least six innings in 17 consecutive games. That sounds like Walter Johnson- type numbers right now.

I'm still not sure about that.

I've never been so miserable being 8 games up (if they lose this one) on the Red Sox in my life.

Cashman will probably be up from now until 4 PM Wednesday. Just get us five or six top tier pitchers, that's all I ask.

Someone in AAA is fine-tuning guys. Usually, when these guys come back up, they perform pretty well (unless it’s their first time in the big leagues...nerves). Hale, Nestor, Greene, Kahnle, German, Cessa have all benefitted when they return.

Which is confusing, because are they not paying more than that for Edwin?
