Paxton has a first inning ERA of 11.00. His second inning ERA is 1.56. Sounds like something the coaching staff could address. If anyone needs an opener, it's Paxton.

YAWN... I took a nap. Once in a while one I would open, but just like the groundhog on Groundhog Day, it didn’t like what it saw, so it told the other one not to open and I dozed off. I even dreamed that I was in the middle of writing a long post and just fell asleep without finishing it.
Looks like we may have a storm coming in. More mowing to finish, so I hope not. I did about 1.5-2 hours this morn at my neighbors...

I also noticed that the much-denigrated Lance Lynn has thrown at least six innings in 17 consecutive games. That sounds like Walter Johnson- type numbers right now. Another pitcher that got better once he left the Yankees. Walter Johnson?... LoL...

Yea, I've seen his stats. There was some talk that spending that extra 1.7 million would have pushed the Yanks into another luxury cap tier with more penalties. I'm still not sure about that. Which is confusing, because are they not paying more than that for Edwin? I mean they're going to go over it anyway with Edwin + another pitcher so why not just get Keuchel + Edwin anyway in retrospect?

Charlie Morton was the one to get but they passed on him. 2.6 era 163k in 131 innings .200 ba against. Then they signed Happ?

We are much more athletic with Voit as the DH...if they were worried about the second luxury tax level?

Cashman will probably be up from now until 4 PM Wednesday. Just get us five or six top tier pitchers, that's all I ask. These pitchers are going to be far more expensive than Keuchel.

I am unclear on that or what the number is.

Keuchel can’t pitch every day... (:
I was so anxious for this series. Sometimes you get what you wish for...
I think all we can do is wait for this misery to pass... We’re not this bad...
