Lineups not yet posted, but I’ll be back to revise!
Here is my guess...which is never correct. Boone and I are rarely ever in sync.
1. DJ LeMahieu (R) 1B 2. Aaron Judge (R) RF 3. Gleyber Torres (R) SS 4. Aaron Hicks (DH)** 5. Gio Urshela (R) 3B 6. Cameron Maybin (R) LF 7. Mike Tauchman (L) CF 8. Austin Romine (R) C 9. Breyvic Valera (S) 2B
**Yesterday, Hicks said his elbow only hurt when he throws, so I’m betting he can still hit.

crazy injuries crazy wins. Of course it's much easier to win when you get some decent pitching.

My prediction wasn’t even close... The actual lineup: 1. Gleyber Torres (R) 2B 2. Aaron Judge (R) DH 3. Didi Gregorius (L) SS 4. Gio Urshela (R) 3B 5. Brett Gardner (L) CF 6. Cameron Maybin (R) RF 7. Mike Ford (L) 1B 8. Kyle Higashioka (R) C 9. Mike Tauchman (L) LF

Maybe the most lefties in a lineup this season...against a lefty.

Maybe the most lefties in a lineup this season...against a lefty. Boone must feel sorry for Boston with this lineup, no DJ or Romine, Gardner hitting 5th.

Maybe the most lefties in a lineup this season...against a lefty. Price doesn’t get to pitch to very many lefty hitters...Ghis is one of Boone’s most puzzling lineups yet. That took some doing...

Or he thinks boston is finished and does not want to lose any more players.
In the last two weeks we lost voit, ee, sanchez and now hicks. Getting back to the hollow line up.

Yeah, but we keep on winning. I am starting to think it doesn't matter who we put out there, as long as they have the interlocking NY on the cap.

Not sure when we have ever been 15 games up on them. Well almost exactly four years ago, on August 6 2015, the Yankees were 14 games ahead of Boston. I don't feel like researching it any further than that, but in any event it isn't all that historic of an occasion.

Happ pitched pretty well his last time out. As sweet as it would be to sweep Boston, three out of four is good under any conditions. Take Stanton, Sanchez, Voit, EE and Hicks out of the lineup and we still kick their sorry butts.

Plus, not one of Boston's major position players -- Betts, Bogaerts, JD, Devers, Benintendi, Vasquez or Bradley -- has spent a day on the IL. They would be fighting it out with Baltimore had their key players sustained the volume and severity of of injuries as ours.
