And the replacement savages win. I would be happier if Boston had not cost us EE and Hicks. A lot to pay for a series. My much ridiculed notion that Boston would be out of the division if we won 3 games of 8 looks pretty good now. They are 16 back in the lost (not loss) column.

Wow, Boone basically punted this game and the Yankees won anyway.

Wow, Boone basically punted this game and the Yankees won anyway. or he made brilliant non-linear decisions that worked out. I agree with you however. Price can't pitch in Yankee stadium

Ironic. We were 14.5 back around August 3rd in 78. But Boston is not as good a team as we were then. And we have only 3 games I think against them while we finished the regular season beating them 7 times in a row in 78.
Boston will be really lucky to make the play offs

Those 4 lefties in tonight’s lineup were only 4-15. Only one of the hits was for extras, Gardner’s double. But they quietly drove in 3 runs and scored 2 others. Just enough...

amazing boston is 7 back of tampa and oakland for the 2nd WC. They are a game back of mighty Texas.
I guess we now worry about Tampa. They are 9 back in the loss column
