Last night I was watching the game on NESN and the Sox announcers were wondering why Boone let Tauchman hit with bases loaded in a tie game and not have Brett Gardner pinch hit. I thought to myself, because Tauchman is a better hitter than Gardner right now you idiots. What a find by Cashman. Those announcers don’t seem to study the opposing team much. There were multiple comments from them yesterday that showed how little they knew about the Yankees. With the “rivalry” being so important, you’d think they’d be up on the Yanks.. After hitting just .177 in April, Tauchman is batting .397 since May 5 and has a sparkling .472 on-base percentage, both of which are the best in baseball in that time span.

Not to mention the defense Yes, not to mention he's been really good in the field too. In addition, very good at catching the ball when it is hit to him and throwing it accurately.

Just got home from a family outing. Nice to see the Yanks up 7-0. Hilarious listening to the ESPN crew spew all their nonsense on why the Red Sox are sucking.

Cashman got Tauchman for Phillip Diehl. Not too shabby.
