Rare mental mistake by Judge When I saw the replay, it was the play I would always look for when watching the OF. Someone asked me how I was able to take second as often as I did, and I remember telling him that I watched the outfielder’s eyes. That wasn’t exactly true, but I did study their body language... Same here. I was never fast but I hustled (and still do). Last weekend after a triple one of the guys asked me “how old are you now?” If I get an extra base it is mostly because of how the ball is played and hustling to give yourself a chance. |

A lot of base running is done with your eyes and even ears...but especially your brain. I loved to play against guys that were loafers...And hated them on my team... |
