Gio out. But that's not unexpected after the way he was hobbling last night. Hopefully just one night off. With the next 11 games against Baltimore and Toronto, this is the time to rest players.

I read somewhere that the X-Rays on both of Urshela's legs were negative, so hopefully he isn't out long.

Even without Urshelabelievable and Torres, this is a pretty solid defensive team. Second is weakened without DJ or Gleyber, but first is solid with Ford. He’s at least as agile as Voit or The Parrot, but he has better hands and a much better arm. Of course when DJ is at first, Gleyber at second, Didi at short, and Gio at third, it’s essentially a gold glove infield altogether. Tauchman, Gardy, and Judge is a stellar outfield. Tanaka fields his position as well as anyone, and Romine never hurts you with the glove.

Just hope he took my advice for a long soak in an epsom salt bath. I used to think that was hooey, but it sure helps me with aches and pains.

Quick tidbit: According to StatCast, the six hardest hit balls this season belong to Giancarlo Stanton, Vlad Guerrero, Jr., Giancarlo Stanton, Gary Sanchez, Pete Alonso, and Aaron Judge.

Also, Aaron Judge leads MLB in average exit velocity at 98.2 mph. Got to get that launch angle up a little though. Hit some more HRs.

It is great he’s ok but also puzzling that yesterday they were concerned enough to send him to the hospital but today he’s playing. If anything at all was bothering him yesterday given their lead and how vital he is to the team why wouldn’t you give him a day or two off? If whatever is bothering him gets exacerbated this will look really obvious and stupid.

I think giving him a day off makes sense against Baltimore most of all. He probably asked to play.

Obviously I don't know what the medical people saw, but if you ever wanted to let him heal, this would be the ideal time to put either him or Urshela on the 10 day IL while we are playing the bottom feeders and let Estrada play a bit.

Judge with an excuse me double. With as many times as he’s been shafted on low pitches, he has about 50 more of those coming to him.
