Who designed this schedule? 8 of 10 vs red sox 7 of 11 vs orioles 6 of 12 vs A's They didn't play toronto till june didnt go to Fenway until July 25. Only 2 games vs the rays between July 18 and the end of the season. They still also have to travel to Oakland, LA Dodgers, Seattle, Detroit, and Texas. The MLB Schedule used to be designed by a married couple who did it all by hand to try to balance fairness, weather and other competitive issues. About 15 years ago or so they changed to doing it all at corporate by computer. Right about that time the schedule started to seem goofy. It often doesn’t seem like there’s common sense.

Judge’s swing seems tentative to me.

Remembering when Hanser Alberto was a Yankee...
Winter only...Never wore the pinstripes. Wonder where he’d be now if we had kept him? Where Valera is?...

Orioles broadcast sounds like a home game. Big contrast from suffering through NESN and ESPN this weekend. Thorne calls a good game. I’m getting YES, but I don’t mind Thorn. I also used to be okay with Chuck Thompson for all those years he was there. I really nice, pleasant man... or so he seemed... I remember when Thorne used to do hockey games for ESPN. He was good at that too.

That makes sense. I just don't see the point of playing team in back to back weeks. Plus it makes it almost impossible for the Rays to even have a shot at catching the yankees when they only play them twice in the last 2 months of the season.

Hes was the video game announcer for MLB 2k until the series ended and also the NHL video game announcer until NBC sports took over that series in 2015.

I guess maybe they have their reasons but I agree with you the schedule seems pretty dumb this season.

Before I retired the company I worked for took control of truck routing for their 900+ stores nationwide away from the local stores. Routes would come in that had trucks driving through mountains (that didn’t have tunnels or even roads on them), and then returning though the mountain for the next stop. There was an element of comedy. Corporate was demanding the drivers be disciplined for “abandoning” their assigned route and doing stops out of order...

The two games in London count against the Boston home games even though they were not in Fenway

The two games in London count against the Boston home games even though they were not in Fenway That is true, but still pointless to have 8 Yankee Redsox games with only a 2 game Arizona series in-between.
