For as much as Happ gets justifiably slammed for his crappy pitching, Tanaka has only been modestly better. His ERA is now up to 4.93, compared to Happ's 5.24. They've both been well below league average.

He's really struggled without his splitter, and while I'm not making excuses I think it makes sense that the change in the baseball could be a part of this.

I thought Inger was going on the IL I couldn’t kick a field goal right now, but other than that, I’m in good shape. It turned out to be just a slight tweak of the hamstring...I used to play through them all the time...Still would if I still played...

I hope the ball issue is addressed in the off-season.

I suppose a cynic would say that it’s his job to find a way to adapt, and he hasn’t...Neither have most of the rest of the pitchers in baseball...
