He said my next game I'm calling isn't for a while when they were talking about Boone's manager of the year candidacy. So since he lives in Maryland and Florida and seems to always do the rays and orioles away games that's the only series left i would think. Doesn't appear to be doing the Yankee stadium orioles series next week. So I'm guessing if he has any series left it's that two game series vs the rays.

Orioles veteran Chris Davis restrained from going after his own manager
Baltimore Orioles veteran Chris Davis has been doing plenty of whiffing in the batter’s box this season.
Davis tried to change that in the home dugout during Wednesday night’s game against the New York Yankees — but he never got a chance.
The struggling slugger had to be restrained from going after — and potentially taking swings — at his own manager, Brandon Hyde.
It’s unclear exactly what caused tensions to escalate. The incident occurred in the fifth inning.
“It was just a disagreement that we had in the dugout,” Hyde told reporters. “What was said and what we talked about, I’m not going to get into. We’re going to keep it in house, and it’s private.
“It’s something that happens sometimes and frustration boils over a little bit when we’re not playing our best baseball the last couple of games. Unfortunately, I’m embarrassed it was caught on camera and people had to see it but sometimes those things happen.”
Davis struck out in his only at-bat before being pulled from the game after the incident. He is hitting a paltry .182 with 111 strikeouts in 247 ABs.
The 33-year-old signed a seven-year, $161 million contract to remain in Baltimore in 2016.

This manager is treating me like a .182 hitter that strikes out almost half the time, and it gets to me. I’m still the same guy that hit 53 HR. I’m still “Crush” on the inside...

I can understand being frustrated on the Orioles. If my old employer wanted to pay me $23M per year on a guaranteed 7 year deal, I’d go back and perform in a Davis-like manner for them. Davis is a pretty big part of the team failure. His frustration is justified if it’s aimed at Chris Davis. The franchise? The manager? Not so much...

The game is always more enjoyable when he's part of the team. He has a perfect blend of wisdom and humor. Plus he's another broadcaster, as we were discussing about Jim Palmer the other night, who tells great Earl Weaver stories. Kenny was a very solid player as well, for those who never saw him. Rarely made a mistake, and I never wanted to see him up there against the Yankees in a key spot.

It's sad to be the only one who danced to Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Les Brown, and others.....music just hasn't been the same since....and the girl singers.....no one to discuss who was better...…...I know you guys never heard her sing, but Julie London was hot.... Married to Dragnet star Jack Webb....among others. yes...right...……..Julie had a smoky voice, whatever that means....and good looking....I have some of her records on 78rpm somewhere....are those collectible, you think?.....sometimes old things become more valuable.....

Married to Dragnet star Jack Webb....among others. yes...right...……..Julie had a smoky voice, whatever that means....and good looking....I have some of her records on 78rpm somewhere....are those collectible, you think?.....sometimes old things become more valuable..... Julie London did have a smokey voice, beautiful face, and a smoking body to boot. I see that evidence of the endurance of her music can be found in that Barnes and Noble bookstores is selling a 3 CD boxed set of her best loved tunes. I looked at some of her memorabilia on e-Bay and found that her autograph (as expected) greatly enhances the value of her old photos, posters, and yes, 78 RPM recordings. Typical non-autographed albums are being offered from $9.99-$20.00 each, though an autographed cover can drive the price from $50-$100 higher. I watched an episode of American Pickers once where a guy had a rather large stack (100 or so) of 78’s that Mike got for a $1 or $2 per record. They were out of the jackets,, and were not pre-inspected for evaluation. He said he was taking a chance on them, but at that price I suspected that there could easily be one or two in the box that would pay the investment off. I do recall my family owning a few of the 78’s when I was a lad. It was music that appealed my mother, but not to me at the time. My first record turntable had the setting for 78’s on there, but we mostly used it to make 45’s sound like Dave Seville’s chipmunks... Man, those Chipmunks were all the rage back then. “Want a train that loops the loop” “I still want a hula-hoop”...

If he really was going after his manager, that’s inexcusable. Releasing him would be too kind. I have no patience or respect for someone who can’t be bothered to act like a professional except where it comes to being paid like a professional. If the Orioles had any backbone they’d suspend him without pay for it and make the MLBPA file a grievance.

I agree. I like Kenny. He does tend to lean on the same stories and expressions much like Jim Kaat did, but he’s a smart commentator. The story last night that Ruocco got out of him about how he got into broadcasting was great.
