Still awaiting lineups to be posted. This will be a much more competitive series than Baltimore. Toronto has some young, hungry athletes and playing better baseball of late. Vlad Guerrero, Jr. is as talented a player as his father. I’m just glad Sogard is gone, though we will have to see him with Tampa Bay. That bespectacled munchkin rakes against the Yankees (.385/.433/.731/1.164)!

Bo Bichette is also off to a flying start. With Vlad Jr. and Cavan Biggio, the Jays must have more starting legacy players than any other team.
I saw Bo being interviewed a few days ago and he seemed like a cool dude. He was actually named for Bo Jackson, who was Dante's favorite athlete.

Bo Bichette sounds like a three foot tall character from the Star Wars bar...

lol Strange with torres apparently not going to be on the IL he is not playing for a third straight game. Even as a DH. He started Tuesday's game but was taken out after two ABs. So this is only the second game he is at least scheduled to sit out. I hope they are handling this the right way. The last thing they need is for him to aggravate this injury and spend much more critical time on the IL.

Come sept 1 I think a lot of veterans should sit down.

Come sept 1 I think a lot of veterans should sit down. We want the home field advantage vs. the Astros... That could loom even larger than the pitching deficit you keep moaning about. I know. There IS a pitching deficit. I don’t deny that. It’s the constant whining...”How can we beat the Astros and the Dodgers with our pitching staff”?... Then, you suggest we sit the veterans for the whole month of September (stop it, I know you didn’t say that) and lose us an advantage that has proven to be meaningful throughout the history of the game...

I'm trying to remember the playoff rules.....this is what I think...
1. Team winning one of the divisions, WITH the best record, gets the WC team in the ALDS....the other 2 division winners play each other....
2. The team with the best regular season record has home field advantage throughout the playoffs.....
that's two real good reasons there to not take the foot off the gas....

The nice aspect is that this team is so deep that Boone doesn’t really need to change what he’s been doing... if he did, I’d be concerned...
