These Blue Jays seem so poised for growth that I fail to understand why it was smart to jettison Stroman... It’s not like he’s past his prime... Really weird trade, especially given his contract status and how little they got back. But then again they got back even less for Urshela.

I knew there was a reason I hated Skydome/Rogers Centre It is a goofy excuse for a ballpark. But if they pitched better today they would have won.

It's a whole different game with it. Prob isn't surprising they have dry spells in Tampa too that's also turf. Detroit has to be up there

Just the mention of turf...
It’s surely a factor to consider when thinking about why there are so many disabled list stays in modern times. Is it the # 1 reason? Probably not, but I believe every player spends at least some of their playing time on it.
The weight lifting is a potential major contributor. I believe sinewy arms to be of better use in the sport than heavily muscled arms, and a strong back also to be more important than rock head and and pecs.
We have the huge economics of the sport that demand caution be utilized to protect the investments in the “assets”.
Then we have the fact that kids don’t play every day like they did in the generations of yore and I believe that you can stir those those ingredients into the pot with what ever else you can find. It’s what’s in the stew...

But yesterday was about pitchers walking guys and one really bad breaking ball from Adams that maybe even some of us could have hit out. If he executes a better pitch there they probably win. They are due to lose some games like this one with as much has gone right this year. I was pretty much expecting DJ to win the game for them in the 9th when he grounded into the DP. They’ve spoiled us a little this season.
