I doubt the umpires have a specific problem with Judge. Something must be driving the problem. Vision is the likely reason. It's called bad umpiring. Bad umpiring for one person? Do you think they have a grudge against him or magically get lazy when he alone steps to the plate? That does not seem very likely to me.

What a horrible at bat by Ford. I'm glad he's still hitting ahead of Tauchman. I liked your suggestion the other day about moving DJLM to first and DHing Frazier, at least until either EE or Voit gets back.

What a horrible at bat by Ford. I'm glad he's still hitting ahead of Tauchman. He doesn’t look like a major league hitter to me. I guess they will see what happens with Voit. McBroom is crushing the ball at SWB as well.

Frazier was hitting .283 in the majors with a 843 OPS.

If you are actually watching the games and not dots on a screen you would know they do have an obvious and specific issue calling low pitches out of the strike zone as strikes. Do you not see this? I am quite sure everyone else here does.

That "hit" in the first inning for the Jays could have been scored an error on Gio, which means Tanaka would have a no hitter going.

Tauchman scorches one but nabbed by Bichette.

I am quite sure everyone else here does. yes, we do see it....and not just a few umpires, but it seems to be chronic....It is puzzling to me as to why that should be....the umpires must be judging the lower zone on their experience with the height of a pitch on a normal-sized hitter, rather than looking at the pitch relative to Judge's knees....that is a poor thing to do, but the only explanation I can think of.....another reason for baseball to upgrade that critical element of the game...

He's safe. Not even close. What is the umpire doing?
