Ford at DH is amusing. Why not Maybin
The algorithm that the Boone unit uses to select batting order is confusing...

As long as they keep winning the way they have been all year, just go with the flow.

Maybe they win despite their manager?
It would be fascinating understanding the logic of batting Torres 7th and Tauchman 8th. Having Judge bat 2nd makes limited sense to me either, but I understand that one does not move stars around (well I don't understand it but I know its the way things work).

Who cares as long as they win? I don't think if they had some other manager that they would have a significantly better record.

Cleveland has had the best record in baseball since June 1. Pretty amazing when you consider that Kluber and Carrasco have both been out, and then the trade of Bauer. And the Yanks will miss Shane Beiber in this series.
The Tribe has gotten a lot of mileage out of Clevenger -- I always loved his stuff -- and the young guys like Plesac and Plutko and Civale have stepped up. Hats off to them for a strong job. This should be a good series.

Despite his recent power outage, Judge is still one of the best offensive players on the team and he still gets on base. He's going to have a suck for lot more than a month to get dropped in the lineup.

when the news came out about Carrasco's health problem, with Kluber and Clevenger both on the IL at the time, I mentally wrote off the Indians for the season....they have found a way to win, much as have the Yankees....it will be good to see how the teams match up for what may also be a playoff venue...

I agree. I think the division is over so we can use this as a trial of what works and does not for the play offs. Playing Cleveland, LAD, and Oakland will be testing, but useful.

The algorithm that the Boone unit uses to select batting order is confusing... Bark, bark, bark. There is a RH pitcher starting the game. I’m very pleased with what Maybin has done in his limited role this season, but to me it’s clear after over a dozen MLB seasons that he’s really a .250’s hitter. Ford has a powerful LH bat to utilize in the 9 spot vs. a RHP. It’s a bat that hasn’t gotten hot yet, but has still found the seats 4 times in just a couple of handfuls of AB. He isn’t going to develop sitting on the bench. We have our best infield today and our best outfield, but you have to find something to bitch about...

I was just wondering... do you think the division is over? Would you mind typing that a few thousand more times so we can tell how you really feel? Maybe even so we can pat you on the back for being so adept as to pick the Yankees to win the division after they had an eight game lead? I’m proud of you for being so positive. Really, I am... (:

I wonder how the Plutko family felt when their home planket was demoted to a minor planket?...
