it is downright painful to watch Judge....obviously, they're in a bind there as far as public announcements go. But he cant possibly be 100% healthy. He can take a walk, but otherwise is terrible at the plate. Is his RF defense so valued that they won't put him on the IL and bring up Frazier? His BA must be .150 over his last 20 games. .179/.214/.328. That’s Fraziers’s slash for the past 16 games. His overall slash has fallen to .240/.296/.443, in AAA. So, maybe this is not the best time to call on him to save the day... People keep bringing up Frazier and they must not be paying attention. Frazier is playing himself out of a professional baseball career at AAA, he’s not playing his way into a promotion. |

He always said he played like his hair was on fire. Imagine how hard that would be to do. Michael Jackson stopped his performance when his hair caught on fire, right? Reminds me of the old Steve Martin line. “I dated a girl that said she sang through her diaphragm. Imagine how long it took to learn to do THAT”. (Was that on the “Let’s Get Small” album? I think so). Frazier has been the #1 Yankees disappointment of the season. There’s way too much hot dog in there for his talent level. He needs to light that fire in his heart, all while keeping himself in check. He is not yet the big star he sees himself as. He has hit in streaks in MLB. I also noticed that in those last 16 games, he’s only drawn 3 walks, He’s far too aggressive at the plate these days... |
