We have actually not hit much worse than Oakland in the series. We just can't get those hits with men in scoring position

While the pitching frustrates me personally our inability to score is really puzzling. We should score more off these pitchers. Teams get hot and cold. That’s also a key in the post season. Who’s hot? Who’s not? Who’s due to get hot? Who’s due to cool off. If you recall, the Yankee staffwas over-performing for a stretch earlier this season. Believe it or not, that could happen again...But if it does, and our bats go cold... uh-oh... see how it works? I mean you’ve only been WATCHING THE GAME FOR FORTY YEARS, right?... Inability to score hasn't really been a problem this year. They are averaging roughly 6 runs a game for the season. They have scored 10 or more runs 17 times. They've only scored 1 run 8 times in a loss (1 time in a win). They are 46 and TWO when scoring at least 7 runs. They are undefeated when scoring 8+. OVER HALF their wins have come in games they've scored at least 7. They have not won a game they have scored only 2 runs in.

Which is not encouraging since facing teams like the Dodgers, Tampa, and Houston in the play offs runs will be hard to come by.

The Maybin Miracle is melting... Maybin’s lifetime OPS; .701... best single season OPS .801 (94 game season). Best full season OPS .716. 2019 OPS entering tonight, .905 (60 games). Every day of 2019 has been his Joe Hardy season...
