I recall years ago that Sid Fernandez was very miffed when the Mets went to black unis because one of his advantages was how well he hid the ball, and how hard it was to see out of his uniform... Makes sense. I remember in 1978, an opponent made Guidry change his blue, long sleeve undershirt because there was a hole in the elbow. |
