Start one. I think that might be a challenge, but you seem to be a church-going man. Find about three more baseball fans willing to give it a ten game test run. I’m thinking you can get them hooked. Keep the season you play to a minimal length, day 40-54 games to replicate either a quarter of a season or a third of a season.
Can you actually still order that game with all the fantasy leagues out there? If not, some older seasons might even appeal more to some of the fogeys out there.
The league I formed years ago had one owner quit and we quickly found a new manager. In the end, the league died after ten years because we had one team owner that was always showing up very late. We couldn’t get through or modest forty game season that we played through the winter without decent attendance. It was my decision to let the league perish before even mid-season. The offending manager was upset because he thought he “finally had built his team to be decent” . Ah, he coulda been a contenda...
