Anyone notice that Voit doesn’t seem to have the same energy he displayed last season? I’ve noticed it all season. He took a serious approach right away. Way less smiling. A lot of stares back at the pitcher. I think he quickly got tired of pitchers crowding him inside and is frustrated by that, for one thing. I recall when I was first able to break a hundred once in a while playing golf... so cool, so much fun. Then, I got where I could break 90. When I wasn’t on pace for that I would find myself trying to “focus” at times. Never angry if I didn’t score well, but more analytical. “What am I doing wrong”?, that kind of thinking. Voit broke a hundred last year. What a blast. Now, he wants to get better. Much better... |
