Pitching overall was terrible, but this play with one of the Yankees good relievers in didn't help anything either.  |

Russell went to bed. He has to be up by 10:00 AM... went to get something to eat. Boone figured anyone could beat detroit. His line up and pitchers made that obvious. Hard to win that way. On the bright side the A's are beating Houston 20-5 in the 8th although Tampa rallied to tie it. Given that the division is over that is not critical. |

Interesting that while our position players greatly surprised us this year (positively) our minor league pitchers have been awful.
