You should try a salmon & kale salad. Tastes great and it's very healthy for you. Do you ever have a cheat day, Chi? Where you treat yourself or splurge? I like deep dish pizza, I have it 3 or 4 times a year.

Given that our offense only showed up for one inning that was going to happen.
Houston plays KC for 3 games...not surprisingly they won.

Certainly a well deserved loss. The offense was putrid with the exception of one inning.
The Yankees have played 30 innings of baseball in the past two days.

Pizza is a go to at least once a week around here...We order it out. We order it in. We buy em frozen, and pre-made fresh to slip in the oven. Pizza. Isn’t it shaped like a pyramid after you slice it? You know, FOOD PYRAMID? Pyramid of life and all that? I’ve seen that pyramid from a distance, just never got up real close to read it. That’s some scary stuff. Doesn’t even MENTION gumdrops...

A loss here and there down the stretch is not always a bad thing. A nice reminder to play your butt off every day. A loss to a team with 90 losses (or 100 like the Tigers) is double confirmation that the uniform you’re wearing makes not one difference... Gotta play the games...

It's funny, my race was last Sunday and we had deep dish that Friday night, a day and a half before the race. Deep dish has a lot of carbs, which you are supposed to load up on before a long race. It also has a lot of fat and calories, but we will overlook that for now.

We get regular pizza more often, but deep dish a heart attack waiting to happen if you eat it all the time. It does taste great!

I’ve never had authentic deep dish pizza. One of these days, I’ll get to Chicago!

I like thin crust the most. I guess the deep dish ones in Chicago are something you almost need to wear waders and just walk in and eat your way out.
I had no idea what the food of the city was in Pueblo before we moved here. Green peppers? Really? Yechh. And a popular variation is the slopper. A burger with a green pepper chili “gravy” on a piece of bread. Just looks nasty as all get out to me...All wet and slimy-looking. Ruthie tried one. She was not impressed...
The city even has a pepper-roasting week sometime soon. All the Wal-Marts and several other stores have a big kettle out in front of the store, roasting away. Lines of people buying them...Even with all that going on, they STILL have a giant roast at the State Fair Grounds. Nothing else going on there but car after car goes in to buy roasted green peppers...
My food is... I dunno. The doughnut?...

Pueblo: Come for the green peppers, stay for the gravel...

I assume Green Chile peppers. Don’t know my peppers all that well. Yeah. Has to be chili. The peppers are long rather than the bell shape, and green chili is what they all smack their lips over...I don’t even like the looks of it...Little green diced up cubes...
