Merv Griffin’s tombstone is inscribed:
“I will not be right back after this message” …

As per golf, the body is sending mixed messages, but I’ll be a “go” for more light practice on Monday. My hips were still pretty bad yesterday, but they’re fully recovered today.
The negative is that my carpal tunnel syndrome in my left hand is flaring up pretty bad. I still have tomorrow for that to tone down and won’t let that alone stop me.
Now days the knuckles on both of my index and middle fingers have gotten painful, and I have trouble gripping with them to loosen jar lids and such. I iced them today, which has helped. I also took some acetaminophen for those general body aches that Cole had made famous in the past week or so.
Going to go through my golf bag today. It’s overloaded as I packed extras in it when we moved. Given no setbacks, I’ll be out there Monday afternoon. The heat is supposed to let off 2-4 degrees, which will also help…
Further review makes me believe that in addition to choking down on my gap wedge that I was standing a bit further from the ball than I should have been. I may hit 2-3 practice balls in the yard tonight Ot tomorrow to test that theory. Those balls will surely be lost in the brush, but they’ll be scuffed balls. Not a big loss…

The negative is that my carpal tunnel syndrome in my left hand is flaring up pretty bad. The wife recently had surgery for that. Very quick...maybe 15 minutes, and she's healing very nicely. Medicare covered.

Medicare covered. I had the surgery on my right hand about 35-37 years ago. I worked every day afterward during recovery. Just had to work carefully…

Gloria and I played in Doubles Bocce tournament yesterday and placed 4th. We beat one of the top two teams in the first round, but they came back to eliminate us in the fourth.

We had to do things like climbing a rope up to the rafters in the gym or hard pitch with intent to injure dodgeball or crab soccer, which basically consisted of guys kicking each other in the kishkas while supposedly going for the ball. They probably don't allow that stuff anymore. It was fun while it lasted.😆
