I don't get that call but the Yanks will take it. And now Judge is not getting a hit for that play, there was no way they were going to throw him out at first. Now you have me wondering if plays like that were called hits back in the days when we regularly had .400 hitters... They reversed the call and gave Judge a hit, which is the correct way to rule it, although DJ was really out. |

So one additional point here, which is that bad umpires have a profound effect on baseball games, and we’ll never know what they may do to hurt players they have a dislike for, or who argued a call with them... |

Cortes pitched very well early in the year when he was truly needed. He doesn’t quite look the same at this point in the season. Nevertheless, the Yankees win!  |

He filled the bill at the right time. He’s like a McDonald’s cheeseburger. You know it’s horrible when you’re eating it, but if you’re hungry enough you’ll eat it, right? Well at that time earlier this season, we had a need. We were hungry for pitching. He was hot and filled the spot at the time... |

I was just thinking the other day about the milkshakes at McDonalds. Sometimes when I was selling propane around Wilmington, Delaware I’d grab one of their vanilla shakes instead of stopping for lunch. I got calling those shakes “Instant Diarrhea”. They would clean you out good later that night...What goes in, must come out...
