At the time Verlander was traded, I don't recall anyone wishing the Yankees made a deal for him. The belief was he was on the downside and his best years were behind him. No one thought he would have this kind of resurgence.

"Would Cole Hamels really have been a difference maker? Really? I don’t think so." Did you watch him pitch? I agree our focus is on hitting not pitching. My argument is, I know I am the only one here who sees it this way, is that you win WS with pitching not offense.

No one thought he would have this kind of resurgence. Houston obviously did Just as they thought Cole was more important than we did.

It was very ugly, why would AL team want this guy?

I am just annoying people so I will shut up. That should never be the impetus for you to shut up...

No one thought he would have this kind of resurgence. Houston has done a great job helping him and others to be their best. They understand a lot about pitching down there you have to give them credit. Verlander was looking like he was headed to the end of his career when he was traded. I can’t think of someone else who has reinvented himself in this way without the aid of steroids

The interesting thing about that article is that we were several months into what would turn out to be this cool 103-win season when some one from Yanks Go Yard wanted to write a negative viewpoint article to appeal to the noetsi side of the fan base. .. It is amazing that there are people who claim to be fans who in the midst of the playoffs in this amazing season are actively looking for things to bitch about. Those people deserve to be unhappy.

Why is it when someone argues against the existing strategy the Yankees have some assert they are complaining.
Its a silly question I know.

The Nats are clinging to a 2-1 lead midway through Game 3, however, once again they are using starting pitchers as relievers since their bullpen is so bad.

4 games tomorrow starting at 1 with the astros and rays, then Braves cardinals at 3, dodgers nationals at 6, and Yankees twins at 840. All 4 series could hypothetically end tomorrow.
