I like their chances a lot better than in 2017. Me too, Anthony. The Game 7 lineup the Yankees rolled out then included Greg Bird, Starlin Castro, Todd Frazier and Chase Headley (at DH). This group is far superior.

Proof that physical talent alone is not enough... Sadly, Andy Pettitte had the same issues in Game 6 of the 2001 World Series.

Yea that team was decent with a great bullpen but this team is a great team that also has a great bullpen. So it's not just a one dimensional team on a hot streak they have been planning for this for months.

Proof that physical talent alone is not enough... Sadly, Andy Pettitte had the same issues in Game 6 of the 2001 World Series. Man, that game was brutal. Maybe the worst game Andy ever pitched. I remember being at a party that night with a TV on in the background and expecting to celebrate another Yankee title. Even after that blowout, I assumed the Yanks had it in the bag for Game 7. Not quite. Still among the three or four most painful Yankee losses in the over 60 years I have been watching this team.

Yea a lot of people say 2004 is the worst but 2001 hit me harder. 2004 once they started losing it just went all downhill but 2001 everything just seemed destined for the Yankees to win that year and nothing went right in those last two games between Andy having a terrible game and mo not being able to even get 2 outs.

Why the F is MLB scheduling Severino vs Cole in the afternoon of a week day? Morons.

Why the F is MLB scheduling Severino vs Cole in the afternoon of a week day? Morons. The World would much rather see the Cardinals play Washington?... I don’t think so...
