Just wanted to let my Pinstriped Family know that next Thursday I have a job interview. I'm still waiting on a higher paying job to end the application process so they can interview me, but it's something.. I'd rather have something than nothing. Anyways, just wanted to let you guys know... because without the support of you guys on here, well, quite frankly I don't think I'd still be around to look for a job... LOVE YOU GUYS Great news! I'll be watching something on TV and suddenly be like "What were they thinking throwing back to back sliders to Altuve with Marisnick on deck?" But we got to let it go and move on... |

Yep, we get into the old "crying over spilled milk" range if we're not careful. Anyway, the answer to Anthony's question is likely directly tied to the answer to the question, "Why wasn't Stanton in the game"? Sometimes we don't know why, and don't need to know. All we can do is wait til next year. We should enjoy the remarkable success of the team in 2019 as a whole rather than fret over something that happened in a moment or a week...With the injuries the team had, we had no business getting into the playoffs at all...

Have to turn it off. Remember this over the off season. We’ve already been told that there is no way we can win the World Series unless we get Gerrit Cole. No matter what he wants in years or money, we must have him. Of course, it’s possible that he comes back and wins game 4 and game 7 in dominating fashion. I’m expecting stupid demands. I’m wondering if he’ll turn out to be Tom Seaver post age 28, or CC Sabathia. Will we have to feel sad again as another hero limps off the mound around 2027, or will he try-invent himself like Seaver did? The fact is, there is no way to know. But there is another fact that can’t be denied. There are a lot more pitchers that don’t even achieve what CC did after age 28, much less the minuscule number that become like Tom Seaver. Let’s see what this winter’s market looks like before we get too excited. I’m guessing Cole is going to be a late signing, unless he has his eye on a certain team and that team decides to fawn all over him... |
