If he’s healthy this is very interesting. Big if. One of the most exciting career prospects ever. Still only a .236 career average... He hit .235 this season with a .769 OPS this season. With no lefty pitchers on the Astros, I can't see why Hicks would get a start in this series. |

With no lefty pitchers on the Astros, I can't see why Hicks would get a start in this series. I wouldn’t think he’s going to start either. I think they just must feel he’s more useful than Voit which doesn’t surprise me. What does surprise me is that they think he’s more useful than Wade who is a plus defender at several positions, maybe their fastest runner and has been hitting. |

Maybin > Hicks wtf.. Not for the future but for now, since Hicks is hurt. I guess I should say Healthy Maybin > Injured Hicks

I know the Hicks extension is "only" 10 million a season... but do you think we'll come to regret it because of injuries? 2018 might have been a flash in the pan... or it might be his true self if he avoids the injury bug.. I was glad we signed him because I thought he put his injuries behind him. Good D, great arm, great OBP and was showing good power..
