Could be. If Stanton is still unable to play going into game four, the Yankees have to seriously consider making a move if only to bolster a very thin bench. |

That said....Seeing how lost Encarnacion is, if Stanton is IL’d
Ending his season, do you go Sockman or Ford?
Sockman has been great this season. Also was ice cold before he was injured. Ford was red hot but also can only play 1st (we are better with DJ there) or DH.
Tough call

Ford was red hot but also can only play 1st (we are better with DJ there) or DH. Tough call If Stanton is ILed, I'd go Sockman, keep Encarnacion at DH. I still trust Encarnacion more than a hasn't had an at-bat in over two weeks Ford regardless of how hot he was at the end of the regular season. |

They need a straight answer from Stanton are you playing or not ? This lack of bench really hurt them these last couple games. Couldn't PH for one of the struggling hitters when one hit could have decided the game.
Anyway dunno how true this is

It would help if our relievers played as good as advertised. It is supposed to be our great strength.
It would help if Boone realized that there is no rule that you can only use a starter for 6 or less innings.

In 15.1 innings in this series, the relievers have given up 4 runs, that's a 2.38 ERA. 3 of those runs were given up by Ottavino. |
